Singles Weekend Australia ("we", "us", "our") is a business name registered in Australia (ABN to be confirmed). We organise curated weekend retreat events for single adults at privately hired estate properties in New South Wales.

By submitting an expression of interest, making a booking, or attending one of our events, you agree to these Terms and Conditions in full. Please read them carefully before proceeding.
Expression of Interest Process
Our application process operates as an Expression of Interest (EOI). Submitting an EOI does not constitute a booking, guarantee a place at any event, or create any financial obligation on your part.
How it works
- You submit an EOI via our website application form
- We review your application against our eligibility criteria and group balance requirements
- If your application is successful, we will contact you personally with a formal invitation
- You will have 48 hours from the time of invitation to confirm your place
- A booking deposit is required to confirm your place — no payment is taken at the EOI stage
No guarantee of placement
Submitting an EOI does not guarantee acceptance. We reserve the right to decline any application at our sole discretion, without being required to provide a reason. This is necessary to maintain the group balance, age bracket requirements, and community standards that define the Singles Weekend experience.
No money is taken at the EOI stage. You will not be charged anything until you have received a formal invitation and chosen to confirm your booking.
Eligibility Requirements
To attend a Singles Weekend event you must meet all of the following criteria at the time of your booking and throughout the event:
Mandatory requirements
- You must be genuinely single — not in a romantic relationship of any kind
- You must hold a Bachelor's degree or higher from a recognised institution, or hold a professional qualification of equivalent standing
- You must fall within the specified age bracket for the event you are attending
- You must be 18 years of age or older
- You must not be subject to any active Apprehended Violence Order (AVO), Domestic Violence Order (DVO), or equivalent protection order in any Australian state or territory, or any other jurisdiction
- You must have no convictions for violent or sexual offences
Providing false information in your EOI or booking constitutes a breach of these Terms and Conditions and may result in cancellation of your booking without refund, removal from the event, and potential legal action.
Guest Agreement
By completing a booking, every guest legally declares and agrees to the following:
- Am genuinely single and will remain so for the duration of the event
- Am not subject to any active protection, restraining or violence order in any jurisdiction
- Have no convictions for violent or sexual offences
- Meet all eligibility requirements set out in these Terms and Conditions
- Will treat all other guests, hosts and staff with respect at all times
- Will consume alcohol responsibly and understand that intoxication which affects my behaviour may result in removal from the event
- Understand that a sober host is present throughout the event and has authority to remove any guest in breach of the Code of Conduct
- Accept that removal for breach of the Code of Conduct will result in forfeiture of all fees paid with no right to a refund
- Understand that Singles Weekend Australia accepts no liability for personal injury, loss or damage arising from my attendance at the event, except where required by Australian consumer law
- Consent to my name, gender, age bracket and room preference being used for the purpose of group curation and event administration
This declaration is a binding legal agreement. Misrepresentation of any of the above may result in civil and/or criminal liability.
Booking & Payment
Confirmation of booking
A booking is confirmed only when a deposit payment has been received and a written confirmation has been issued by Singles Weekend Australia via email.
Pricing
Event pricing is displayed on our website and in your personal invitation. Prices are in Australian dollars (AUD) and are inclusive of GST where applicable.
- Founding member rate: $525 per person (September 2026 event)
- Standard full rate: $750 per person (future events)
- Private room upgrade: +$150 per person (subject to availability)
What's included
- Accommodation (Friday evening to Monday morning)
- Friday welcome dinner (private chef)
- Saturday group dinner (private chef)
- Daily brunch (Saturday and Sunday)
- Optional group activities (Saturday and Sunday)
What's not included
- Drinks — the event is BYO throughout
- Sunday dinner — optional, at your own cost
- Personal transport to and from the estate
- Personal travel insurance
We strongly recommend all guests purchase travel insurance to cover cancellation, medical expenses, and other unforeseen circumstances. Singles Weekend Australia does not provide this.
Cancellation & Refund Policy
We understand that circumstances change. Our cancellation policy is designed to be fair to all guests while protecting the viability of each event.
Cancellation by you
- More than 60 days before the event: Full refund of deposit, minus a $50 administration fee
- 30–60 days before the event: 50% refund of total amount paid
- Less than 30 days before the event: No refund. Full payment remains due if not yet paid.
- No-show or removal for conduct breach: No refund under any circumstances
Cancellation by Singles Weekend Australia
In the unlikely event that we cancel an event — due to insufficient registrations, venue issues, or other circumstances beyond our control — we will provide a full refund of all monies paid, or offer a transfer to the next available event at your choice.
Singles Weekend Australia is not liable for any additional costs incurred by guests as a result of event cancellation, including travel, accommodation or other bookings made independently.
Event postponement
If an event is postponed rather than cancelled, your booking will be transferred to the rescheduled date. If the rescheduled date does not suit you, you may request a full refund within 14 days of being notified of the postponement.
We strongly recommend travel insurance to protect against cancellation costs. This is especially important given the nature of group events where dates are fixed well in advance.
Code of Conduct
All guests are expected to behave with respect, decency and consideration toward all other guests, hosts and staff throughout the entire event — including travel to and from the estate.
Zero tolerance behaviours
The following behaviours will result in immediate removal from the event without refund:
- Physical violence or threats of violence toward any person
- Sexual harassment, assault or unwanted physical contact of any kind
- Verbal abuse, intimidation or threatening behaviour
- Behaviour that makes other guests feel unsafe or uncomfortable
- Intoxication to a level that impairs behaviour or judgment
- Illegal drug use or possession on the premises
- Damage to the property or its contents
- Disclosure of another guest's personal information without their consent
Our host's authority
A sober host from Singles Weekend Australia will be present throughout the entire event. Our host has full authority to issue warnings, mediate disputes, and remove any guest from the property if they determine it is necessary for the safety or wellbeing of the group. The host's decision in these matters is final.
Guests removed for conduct reasons will be permanently banned from all future Singles Weekend events.
Liability & Disclaimer
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by Australian law, Singles Weekend Australia's liability for any claim arising from your attendance at an event is limited to the amount you paid for that event.
We are not liable for any indirect, consequential, or special loss or damage — including loss of enjoyment, personal injury caused by another guest, or loss or damage to personal property — except where required by the Australian Consumer Law.
Third party actions
Singles Weekend Australia is not responsible for the actions, behaviour or conduct of any guest, and accepts no liability for harm caused by one guest to another. However, we take our duty of care seriously and operate robust vetting and on-site management processes to minimise risk.
Force majeure
We are not liable for any failure to perform our obligations where such failure results from circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, government restrictions, pandemic conditions, or venue closures.
Australian Consumer Law
Nothing in these Terms and Conditions is intended to exclude, restrict or modify any rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law (Schedule 2 of the Competition and Consumer Act 2010) that cannot be excluded, restricted or modified by agreement.
Privacy Policy
Singles Weekend Australia is committed to protecting your personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).
What information we collect
- Name, email address, age bracket, city and gender (collected via EOI form)
- Education level and motivations (collected via EOI form)
- Room preference and any additional information you choose to provide
- Payment details (collected securely at the booking stage — not stored by us)
- Government-issued photo ID details (verified at check-in only, not retained)
How we use your information
- To assess your EOI and curate the guest group
- To communicate with you regarding your application, invitation and booking
- To administer your attendance at the event
- To verify your identity at check-in
- To send you information about future events (you may opt out at any time)
Who we share your information with
We do not sell, trade or share your personal information with third parties, except:
- Our payment processor (for secure processing of booking payments)
- Our form submission service Formspree (for collecting EOI data — see their privacy policy at formspree.io)
- Where required by law or a court order
Your details are never shared with other guests. No other guest will have access to your name, email, age, or any other personal information without your explicit consent.
Data retention
We retain your personal information for as long as necessary to administer your booking and comply with our legal obligations. EOI data from unsuccessful applications is deleted within 12 months of the relevant event date. You may request deletion of your data at any time by emailing hello@singlesweekend.com.au.
Your rights
Under the Australian Privacy Principles you have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate information
- Request deletion of your personal information
- Opt out of marketing communications at any time
- Lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au
Cookies and website data
Our website (singlesweekend.com.au) may use standard cookies and analytics tools to understand how visitors use the site. No personally identifiable information is collected via cookies without your consent.
Security
We take reasonable steps to protect your personal information from misuse, interference, loss, and unauthorised access. Our website uses HTTPS encryption. Payment processing is handled by a third-party PCI-compliant payment provider and we do not store payment card details.

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia.
