Built in 1920 and faithfully restored, the Abernethy Hotel is a genuine piece of Australian history. Two storeys of heritage brick, wide verandahs on both levels, a grand staircase, and more character than any modern property could manufacture.

For Valentine's Weekend 2027, we have the entire property — hotel and cottage — exclusively for our group. No other guests. Just 20 interesting singles, a private chef, and three nights in the Hunter Valley.

It's 2 hours from Sydney and sits in the heart of wine country — Hunter Valley wineries, restaurants and cellar doors are minutes away.

Hunter Valley Gardens, Tyrrell's Wines, Brokenwood and dozens of other cellar doors are within 20–30 minutes. Maitland and Cessnock are the nearest towns for anything else you need.
